I have created this time and space spreadsheet to auto calculate your percentages for both business use of your home as well as time spent on other activities that are daycare related which you do inside the home after normal hours.
Tab one is the "Time and Space Calculation" page. Be sure to change the sample numbers to reflect your personal square footage of your home and daycare spaces.
The numbers in the "Total Hours Children In Care" column will auto generate for you when you enter attendance hours on tab 2.
The attendance tab is for your to record your first child in and your last child out. Contracted hours do not work well with with time and space percentages as there may be times where a child arrives late, picks up early, or is absent. By tracking your first child in and last out, you are tracking the actual business use of your home.
The "Other Hours" tab is for you to record the time you spend in your home doing business related activities.
