Help your studets learn what supplies are needed and the steps you need to follow to make the perfect PB & J with this fun activity! The students will get to check off the supplies on their list and follow the steps to construct a pretend sandwich on the PB & J mat!
The book comes with a reflection page with pictures. After you read the book, make the real thing. I included a visual sequencing board, visual schedule, and a sequencing task to make a PB & J in the classroom! It is a yummy treat (please note: all food and craft supplies have to be purchased separately). I do this as a snack activity in my inclusion life skills class (we make halves or quarters for the snack). Please note: You must be aware of food allergies in your classroom before using. If needed, skip the snack and just do the book and mat. You may also use a peanut butter substitute if needed.
Recommended for pre-k through 1st grade depending on skill level.
This would also be great for inclusion lessons and special education classrooms!
