In my experience teaching, students really struggle with telling time. To make it easier for them, I color coded the hour and minute hand. I made the hour hand red because it moves around the clock slower than the minute hand. Conversely, I made the minute hand green because it goes, goes, goes, moving around the clock faster than the hour hand.
In this activity, students draw the hour hand in red and the minute hand in green as directed. This helps students differentiate between the hour and the minute hand.
Students then write the time.
