Timelines, Digital and Analog Clocks
This product is filled with engaging whole group and independent activities that practice making timelines, as well as making digital and analog clock times.
Whole group activity
My Day worksheet
Whole Group Activity:
Brainstorm a typical day for the children whole group. (You will need as many activities in the day as there are children in your class. 18 kids = 18 times in the day).
Assign each student ONE time. The students will glue the hands of the clock to show the time. Students will also write in the correct time on the analog clock page, draw a picture of the activity, and write an explanation of what is happening on the lines.
Students will cut out clock, cut out analog clock/picture/explanation and glue onto large construction paper.
Last, students will work as a class to put their times in order to display as a timeline of their day!
This can be used two ways.
1. Use this worksheet for the whole group activity to reduce the size of that activity. Use the same directions, just give them that sheet instead of cutting and pasting onto construction paper. This is a great
option if you have limited display areas.
2. Use this worksheet to check for understanding of how to write times digitally as well as analog.
This is great for center work as well as classwork. Print as many pages as you want the kids to show on their timelines. Copy back to back. The students will fill in each page for moments of their day.
