Let's throw six into the mix! is a three page review for times 6. Many students I work with need extra practice with multiplication facts that have 6 as a factor.
Although the sheets are ideal for 3rd graders, this times 6 review is great for advanced 2nd graders and above. Because multiplication is repeated addition, students will need to be comfortable with mentally adding 6. Also, students will need to have an introduction to the concepts of multiplication and rectangular arrays before completing this sheet.
Going through a natural progression of counting by 6s, visualizing rectangular arrays, and recognizing products, the end goal is improvement in effortless recall of times 6 facts.
There is a student choice question, as well as visual, concrete 'real world', and drawing questions to appeal to all different types of learners. Some problems include practice of writing and explaining in math as well.
