Great fun and engaging way to practice times tables. This file includes a game board and a full set of times table cards. The cards are designed to be printed on paper and folder over so one side has the equation and the other has a picture so the equation is not seen through the paper when face down.
I found that the children really loved competing with each other and this was more engaging than chants and songs.
Two ways to play this game, or create your own rules.
• Pairs of students take it in turns to turn over a table card and race to put their token on the answer. If the first student has the wrong answer ,it can be challenged. If the challenge proves right then the second player can replace the counter with one of their own. The winner is the person with the most tokens on the board.
• Players keep turning over table cards and race to place a counter on the answer. The winner is the player who gets all the times table answers on the board.
