On any given Tuesday, I love to surprise my students with something called “Tiny Tale Tuesday!” They don’t know which Tuesday it’s coming, but they sure do get excited when I announce this special day at the beginning of ELA. Whether they write about princesses in a castle, or pirates finding buried treasure, they LOVE making up their own tiny tales!
I’ve used my Tiny Tale Template with students in grades 3-6. It’s also easy to use and perfect for my learning support students to understand and follow as well.
Use the template as a rough draft. Then have students write their good copy on lined paper. Sometimes, my students even get lucky enough and are allowed to draw a picture about their tiny tale!
