Objective: Identify 2D and 3D Shapes
Supplies: draw string bag, b geometrical shape and 3dementional shape cards
Preparation: The teacher will cut out the shapes and place the shape in the draw string bag.
Students will pull the shapes out of the bag and decide if the shape is a 3D or 2D and place the card on the recording sheet.
If students put the shape on the wrong side they must return the shape to the bag.
Extension: Students can discuss why the shape is 3D or 2D
Could put real geometrical shapes and 3D shapes in a bag as they sort their shapes.
