I can still remember how nervous I was the first time I had to call home about a child in class. I dialed all but one digit of the number three times before going to a veteran teacher and asking them for advice. Well, now that I am that veteran teacher I know that a lot of first-year teachers will be in the same boat I was this year when making that first call home. I've included 20 Dos and Don'ts for you to consider before dialing that number for the best chance at a smooth conversation. Have a great year!
