In this histology lab, students identify appearance, location, and structure of tissues of the body using a compound light microscope and prepared slides (printed pictures of tissue could be used as well if microscopes/slides are not available). Included tissues are: adipose tissue, stratified epithelium, white fibrous tissue, smooth muscle, striated muscle, compact bone, elastic cartilage, hyaline cartilage, skin, ciliated epithelium, and columnar epithelium. Lab includes introduction and conclusion sections.
The lab is editable to fit supplies. Printable histology pictures and an answer key are included.
