PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is truly a labor of love. I love reading about the Titanic, and my students are obsessed with learning more and more about this historical event. I wanted to create a unit of study to find out more about the people behind the tragedy.

In this packet you will find:
-information about the year 1912
-nonfiction articles with pictures from the public domain and from the talented clip artist The Library Fox
-information about the different classes on the ship and a compare and contrast activity
-a timeline of the final day on board
-30 tickets from actual passengers from the Titanic
-a list of survivors and victims for students to locate their passenger's fate
-a journal writing activity
-a math activity looking at the number of survivors in each class... also can lead to a great discussion
-an engineering activity
-a critical thinking menu
