Product Description
This document includes two writing tasks. Both involve writing and evaluating arguments using the nonfiction account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, A Night to Remember by Walter Lord.

Both tasks use citations from the text as support. Thirty plus citations are included that could be used in both tasks.

These tasks are a good way to introduce writing using arguments. Task 1 is a little more complex, while task 2 is more basic. Both could be used simultaneously as differentiation in your classroom, or you could use one to lead into the other.

Documents are in Microsoft Word and are completely editable.
