This features one of Shakespeare's most famous soliloquy's, Hamlet's To Be or Not Be, along with 7 critical thinking response questions. Students will answer questions to check their comprehension and to analyze specific parts of the soliloquy.
There is a paper saver version that has the soliloquy and the questions on sheet of paper. There is a second version with the soliloquy on one paper and the questions on 2 pages with lines provided for student answers.
These questions can be used in class discussion. Another possibility is to have students do it individually then discuss their responses in small groups to see if they had different insights. It could also be used as a quiz or a test. There are many possibilities for how you can implement this in the classroom!
Another possibility: You can find clips of different renditions of this soliloquy on YouTube. You could play one for your students so they can see an actual performance of it. Playing the video is also great for students whose accommodations include having things read aloud to them. Just do a search on YouTube for Hamlet To Be or Not To Be.
