"Every day we go to school.
When we go to school, we should follow the rules."
This social story is written by an expert on what you should and should not do at school. His name is Eli. His eight years old and he just finished the second grade. He wrote this book with a little help from The Deane's List to make it rhyme. This story tells students what they should not do at school. It teaches that there are always better choices to make, like following the rules. Eli describes important behaviors such as completing work before having free time, using kind words instead of mean ones, not arguing with friends, learning to take a break to calm down, keeping your hands to yourself, following the class schedule, and listening to the teacher instead of ignoring.
At the end of the story, Eli tells us the benefits of making the right choices. Then he challenges other students by asking what they will do.
This story comes in color and black and white versions.
