IB MYP NEW CHAPTER version. This project evaluates using the Language and Literature rubrics for Year 3 for Analyzing and Organizing.
It includes Factual, debatable, and conceptual questions.
The Project relates to the Global Context Orientation in Space and Time and a related exploration.
Can easily be modified into a larger Unit Plan for the MYP, New Chapter.
This final evaluation for the novel To Kill A Mockingbird requires students to access all the information they have gathered throughout their study of the novel. They will create a community brochure including a map and a description of places of interest. Students are also required to provide quotes to support why they placed an area of interest in a particular location on the map thus making it more difficult to use information found on the internet. Included is the project sheet, a self-evaluation, a group evaluation and a rubric (IBMYP Criterion).
This project can easily be adapted for ability as well as use with another novel. Skills used in this project are the following: reading, writing, analysis, map skills, description, self-evaluation, peer evaluation, group work, and much more.
