This is an engaging activity to introduce the important themes and concepts that are in To Kill a Mockingbird. In this activity, students work individually and collaboratively to support whether they agree or disagree with statements associated with themes and concepts in the novel. Students will support their assertions with reasons and examples. This activity helps students develop a thematic and conceptual framework to better access and understand the novel. My students always enjoy this activity as it offers them an engaging opportunity to share their views. It pairs perfectly with my other resources for To Kill a Mockingbird.
