PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A supplementary product for your TKaM, the argumentative prompt can be assigned after reading chapter 19. Students are asked to consider the witness testimony and weigh Tom Robinson's guilt or innocence. Materials in this package include pre-writing charts and rubrics for both a multi-paragraph essay and a paragraph response so that you can meet the different needs of your students. I use a modified version of the classic argument structure. This activity can last anywhere from 1-3 days, depending on what skills you need to teach beforehand and whether or not you teach revising skills.
