Hopefully this is what you're looking for :)! This document has seven pages total:
The first two pages make one worksheet that the students keep
up with through the novel over different coming of age events
for Jem and Scout. At the end of the novel, the students get to
decide which one to write the paper about.
The next three pages are an example paper. It has an
introduction, two body paragraphs, a conclusion, and an
example Works Cited page. I only have two body paragraphs
because if I write all three, some students’ papers end up
sounding strangely similar to mine ;).
The last two pages make the rubric. The point values have
intentionally been left blank so you can fill it in. The rubric has
sections for: Introduction, body paragraph 1, 2, 3, conclusion,
grammar, Works Cited, and formatting.
We usually spend three days working on this in class and the
rest they do outside of class.
If you have any questions, let me know!
