For those who don't know, RAFT stands for "Role," "Audience," "Format" and "Topic." This writing activity encourages students to pay attention to more than just their grammar - but to the presentation of their ideas. After all, many characters would say things very differently!
Here, I have done the work for you by creating a list of creative options for students to choose from. This is a wonderful way to assess not only writing, but students' understanding of plot events and character analysis.
