This final assessment asks students to "step into the skin" of one of the characters in To Kill a Mockingbird. Their job is to create an artifact , that includes writing, from the perspective of that character. This project is called a RAFTT, which stands for role, audience, format, topic, and tone.
In addition, there are directions for a written reflection on the work.
This assignment includes a pre-writing area (with a class example) and directions for writing the 3-paragraph reflection.
I have had great success with this project in my years of assigning it to 9th graders!
