These homework assignments are originally part of our full To Kill a Mockingbird unit. We decided to sell this component separately and it includes the 10 page unit for 6 individual homework assignments for Mockingbird. Certain homework assignments target key important chapters, while other assignments review themes and motifs after they have been fully developed with close readings of the text.
Most importantly, students continue to practice their close reading skills as each homework assignment requires students to return to the text to provide detailed examples or direct quotes to support their ideas and opinions.
Homework Titles include:
-- Chapters 1-6 review: The Children’s world
--A letter from Dill
--A letter from Scout
--Chapter 1-13 review: Transition of Jem and Scout
--Sins found in the novel (3 parts)
--Tom Robinson and Boo Radley Comparison (2 parts)
