This is a writing activity for students to complete after having read chapters 7-12 of To Kill a Mockingbird. This activity asks students to respond to a number of key components of literature in these chapters: developing characterization, symbolism, theme, and elements of maturity. Students are guided to only choosing a few topics, but discussing them in considerable depth.
See the handout "To Kill A Mockingbird Literary Analysis Chapters 1-6 and Sample Analysis" for an introduction to this activity. In addition there are similar activities for chapters 13-18, and 19-24 in my store.
