PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Research something different with this assignment! We all know TKAM's theme is largely focused on racism, but what about other like Boo Radley? Help students understand how all people with differences were and are still treated in this assessment.

The purpose of the assignment is to identify and utilize primary sources available to know; understand; and apply skills which comprehensively indicate growth in research, collaboration, and presentation. In addition, students must meet the Common Core Learning Standards for research.

Task: To examine society’s evolution of knowledge; acceptance; treatment and education of the intellectually disabled via fiction, Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, using primary and secondary sources and present using technology. There will be scheduled time in the lab to complete the assignment using primary and secondary sources. Any other time needed for you to complete this project should be scheduled outside of class time.

Plan, KWL chart, and rubrics included for annotated bibliography and speaking presentation.
