When reading a long novel, such as "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, sometimes your students need a break from your normal review - whether that be through lecture, groups, etc. Why not throw in a summary video every now and again?
These videos are comprehensive videos of chapters 1 all the way to 31. They involve a summary of the chapter as well as some important information and personal insights into the book itself. They include pictures both from the 1962 movie starring Gregory Peck as well as stock pictures to help describe the feelings and mood within the book.
The videos range in time. Some videos are 3-4 minutes long and others are less than 1 minute. The length depends on the contents of the chapter!
Disclaimer: I did make these videos myself, and I am PROUD to be from Kentucky. I do have a southern accent. You can watch video one at the link below to listen and decide if this is something that would be useful for your classroom before purchasing. I urge you to, please, watch the Chapter 1 video before purchasing.
Also, if you use the "To Kill a Mockingbird" exams, which you can purchase at the following link, these videos review all of the quiz questions.
