Some themes in To Kill a Mockingbird are prejudice, compassion, courage, and justice. In this activity, students will be exploring all of these themes, writing an interpretation of a quote that illustrates the theme, and explaining why they agree with the quote. The handout provides clear, step-by-step instructions to help students complete the project and create a poster as a final product. This activity helps students to think "outside of the box" and make real-world connections to such important ideas.
