Within these materials are useful resources for teaching Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. Specifically, there are 5 different folders with different activities/lessons.
Activities - These are various homework or in class activities to help students interact with the novel, characters, era, and symbolism as they read. 5 Total
Bellringers - These are big picture Vocabulary words connected to the novel with questions that relate to the story. 6 Total
Close Readings - These close readings ask students to dig deeper into specific aspects of the text. 3 Total
Essay - Lit analysis essay prompt and rubric for grading it. Deadlines will need to be adjusted on the handout.
Quizzes - 2 quizzes from 2 sections of the text with answer keys. I consider these quizzes to be larger in nature. I used them as mini tests since I did not test over the whole novel, but instead used the essay to do that. Each quiz has a variety of types of questions, including multiple choice, short answer, and analysis.
Please, please let me know how useful these materials are or if you need any more direction for some of them.
