Product Description
This activity for the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee gets students inferring about a character, selecting evidence to support inferences, and writing a formal written analysis in response to a prompt. Students must infer Scout's personality traits, complete a graphic organizer with relevant evidence, complete an outline for their writing, and then write a final draft of their analyses. A rubric is included to make grading a breeze. This activity is best used for the first part of the novel. Common-core standard RL.1 aligned for grades 7-12. Perfect for close reading & a new generation of standardized tests.

- Double-sided evidence log (2 pages)
- Written analysis outline (1 page)
- Written analysis final draft sheet (1 page)
- 4-pt. scale grading rubric (1 page)
