Investigate or review the leaders of the Hebrew People with this fun and engaging game!
Includes 4 different role card sets to play the game "To Tell The Truth." Three readers for each leader read their cards and try to convince classmates they are the real David or the real Abraham. Take votes from the class and have "the real Abraham please stand up."
Students really enjoyed this activity and it served as a good review for the Hebrew unit content.
*It is recommended that cards are printed on card stock for student use.
Call up 3 students at a time and present each with a card. Each will claim to be the Hebrew figure and will read their assigned card EXACTLY as it is written.
They should try to be as convincing as possible in their reading (I sometimes assign the cards as homework for the students to “develop their character”).
The rest of the class will need to decide which of the three students is “telling the truth.”
To take the activity further, have students evaluate the other two representations of each person to find what information about the person was incorrect.
Fun, engaging, and filled with content!
