My fourth grade students continued to mix up the spellings of to, two and too so often! I used the words in sentences for spelling tests often. This folder includes an explanation sheet, with sentences, for each spelling and meaning of the words first of all. Then I have included three worksheets to practice the spellings and meanings. I have also created an activity where the students each have cards with the TO, TWO and TOO written on them. The teacher can read my story (included) and have the children hold up the correct word in each sentence of the story. The packet concludes with a fill in test and a suggestion for a written assignment for evaluation. The words for cards are included, but copies will needed to be printed so each child has a set and then, if you desire, they can be laminated for future use. After I use this resource, I expect correct spelling of the to, two and too words in writing. If I don't see this done, I give individual students needing reinforcement another copy of the packet to use. I hope this will help your students to master the often confusing spellings and meanings. I included an answer key as well. I think this can be used in 2nd and 3rd grade and definitely again in 4th if your students still confused the to, two and too!
