Teach interesting information everyday with a short passage to start your day. Today Is…creates many opportunities for spring boarding class discussions. Each day there are passages that might include: history, poems, jokes and trivia. All information is presented in paragraph, poetry or joke form to assist students in reading the text correctly. These paragraphs reinforce: paragraphing, indention, vocabulary, phrasing, understanding expressions in context, punctuation, sentence structure and fluency, poem structures, joke structure, left to right orientation, flow of words and ideas.
