Product Description
This is a worksheet to use daily when counting the days of school. Students can record the calendar date and ordinal date. Then they will work with the "number of the day" in the following ways:
-written in digits and words
-shown in base ten blocks
-identify if it is even or odd (You can share with our friends Sue and Bob here, to see if the digit in the ones place shares fair/even or unfair/odd.)
-identify which skip counting patterns (even 2s, odd 2s, 5s, 10s) the number can be found in
-shown in money (coins - pennies, nickels, dimes, if ready - quarters)
-shown on ten frames
-shown on tallies
-addition and subtraction sentences that equal the number
-practicing adding and subtracting zero to the number

This worksheet is geared towards grade two, but feel free to use the ideas and make the worksheet "your own" so it will work in your particular classroom situation.
