This exciting lessons objective is to review colors, physical characteristics and adjectives. It is a great tool to teach students how to write "Soy" statement . The lesson contans
1)Mi Retrato page- Students attach and label a picture of themselves
2)"Soy" worksheet. With over 20 descriptive statements this page was designed to review basic physical features such as eye color, hair color, nose, hands, mouth, feet. It also akss students to list five favorite activities and five personality traits. To make more round the description students name their family members.
3) BONUS- Adjective page. Have students work in pairs to complete and review with the class.
4) " Yo Soy" Writing Prompt - Students copy ten statements from "Soy worksheet"
5)Collect both the portrait page and the statements. Make sure they write their name. Play “Veo Veo” with them. Describe the picture to the class. For example (ojos verdes, pelo café). You can ask students with matching characteristics to stand up. Read a statement from their “olla” to figure out who you are describing.
5) Grade the written samples. Display the pictures and written samples in your classroom.
Continue with a Body parts unit and have your students label their own coloring page. Review adjectives and sports and leisure activities in depth.
