Toilet Tales are part of my effort to get the word out about school-wide expectations. Every toilet stall has a framed Toilet Tale that features various information throughout the year. The Toilet Tales reinforce expectations, such as expected and unexpected behaviors, ways to make others feel good, size of the problem, how to make an apology, etc. These skills are taught in whole group instruction during our School Counselor’s Life Skills lessons on a weekly basis. They are also taught in small group instruction based on individual student needs.
The "A Bug and a Wish" Toilet Tales share different strategies to help students share with peers things that bug them. The mentor text used with this Life Skills lesson is "A Bug and a Wish" by Karen Scheuer. Link: https://amzn.to/2RQQVtf
