This is a complete lesson plan for teaching middle school students about Tone and Mood in a very engaging way.

Students watch trailers for favorite movies like Frozen, Toy Story 3, and Mrs. Doubtfire (links included) and then altered versions of the same trailers while looking for differences in Tone and Mood.

There are two worksheets included that coordinate with the lesson and reinforce the definitions of Tone and Mood.
