Tool Sounds (common blends and digraphs)

Tool sounds are great way to teach students tricky sounds, common blends and digraphs with matching pictures. Use them however you want, but here are some of the ways I use them in my class.

-introduce a tool sound and brainstorm words with the class

-then I have students glue the tool sound in a notebook and either copy the brainstorming we did as a class, or have them think of their own

-have students read a paragraph or a morning message and find the tool sounds
