All works of fiction and poetry have a narrator or a speaker. The Narrators and Speakers lesson, for grades 4–8, will help your students learn to identify and analyze the narrator in a work of literature. This lesson includes a definition, an explanation of how the skill is used, an example, and practice questions with excerpts from real books. The Narrators and Speakers lesson can kick off a reading lesson or serve as an impromptu refresher of skills already introduced. The lesson also includes a separate Answer Key PDF.
