This sign includes a sign that reads, "Top Dog," paw print and little dog decorations, and a version of the paw print and dog circles with room to write student names. It comes in brown with white polka dots.
In my classroom, I choose a student of the week, or Top Dog. This student gets some special privileges. One of these is the opportunity to complete a Top Dog poster at home and bring it in to share with the class on Friday.
I use this sign on my Top Dog Bulletin Board. I found a super cute teal fabric with brown dogs printed on it as my board background. I added a brown striped border and this heading. When the Top Dog turns in his/her poster, I hang it in the middle of the board. At that time, I also add his/her name and the date to one of the polka dot circles and hang this on the board to stay for the rest of the year. This helps me keep track of the Top Dogs at a glance and it is a source of pride for the students who have already been the Top Dog.
CUTTING TIP—I use a 3 inch circle cutter to cut these into perfect circles.
