Product Description

Top It is a variation of the card game war where students flip over cards and the person with the highest number wins. There are 2 variations included in this set. Cards can be printed with or without "tiny answers". The tiny answers add a fun way for students to check answers and prevent them from arguing or interrupting the teacher while the teacher is trying to teach a small group. The tiny answers are a 3 point font and some kids may be able to see it without a magnifying glass, but some will need the magnifying glass and some will just plain old want to use the magnifying glass to check their answers because they are young and magnifying glasses are fun.

Once you teach your students how to play Top It, you can use it in a math center, for morning work if you use "Math Mondays", or even as a warm up at the guided math teacher table.

The games included in this set are:

Adding 0

Adding 1

Addition

Subtracting 1

Place Value

Ten Frames

Tally Marks

Young students love playing these games and once you teach them the rules of Top It, you can easily change the content to whatever concept you are teaching.

Research has indicated that students need to repeatedly practice basic facts in fun and engaging ways to develop fluency with math facts.

I hope your students enjoy these games as much as mine do.
