This short, one class period (or less) activity is a fun way for students to share their knowledge of a certain literary movement or work at the end of a unit.
It is a shoot-off of Dave Letterman's famous Top Ten Lists, and in this example, asks them to list the top ten reasons you can tell you're from the Great Awakening, which is how I used it with my juniors. This is an editable document, so you can easily change it to adapt to any unit you are studying.
The second page of this product includes directions for the students, and I also provide the #10 "reason" for students as an example of what I'm looking for.
After my students completed these on colored paper, I displayed them around my room.
