2-3 students can play. Shuffle the cards and divide evenly among players in facedown piles. Each player turns over their top card (alternating players each round). The first player solves the problems on his/her card, compares the missing numbers to the top (yellow) number, and determines which has the greater value. He/she calls out that color (red, green, blue, or yellow for the top number Players compare their numbers and the player with the greatest number wins the cards from that round. He/she places them in their win pile. In the event of a tie, players play another round with new cards and the winner of that round wins the cards from both rounds. Play and practice fact families until all the cards have been used. The player with the most cards in his/her win pile wins the game. You can extend the activity by having players place the cards they win at the bottom of their draw pile, and playing until one player has all the cards.
