These winter no prep black and white dice articulation worksheets are an engaging way to practice speech sounds AND get multiple practice trials! Each worksheet has a mouth image at the top depicting the position of the articulators for the sound or sounds being targeted on the worksheet. This saves us time writing notes home about how to produce the sound! Students toss the dice and say the picture depicted in the matching column. Then, students can dot or color the picture too! These following later-developing sounds are targeted in this packet:
S Blends, R Blends, L Blends, Initial and final L, Sh, Ch, J, Th, S,Z,F,V,K,G, Prevocalic R and vowel controlled r's: /or/ar/er/air/ear/ire/. Each worksheet has a word bank AND a picture so you can use it with multiple ages. The pictures also make it a great choice for students with articulation disorders AND a reduced vocabulary. This is a winter themed unit so there are no images or references to Christmas or other winter holidays. You can make these activities as simple or as interactive as you want. Looking for quick and simple? Grab some dice, print the pages and go! Looking for a more interactive activity? I have included additional components where students can make a snowglobe scene out of their pictures or write silly stories using vocabulary from the worksheets.
Are you struggling for activities to use for vowel-controlled /r/ sounds? Well, this packet includes the prevocalic /r/ and the phonemic /r/ sounds (one page for each vowel controlled r sound).
