Discounted Growing Bundle Of Math Warm-Ups HERE
Math Warm-Ups are meaningful math prompts or number talks to elicit math discussions. Math Warm-Ups allow students to communicate math understanding and solidify learning all through the year. When students do math warm-ups regularly they have a chance to strengthen their academic math language, deepen and connect old learning to new, and develop adaptive reasoning. This set of digital math warm ups align to the Building Math Community lessons of Total Math, but because they are focused on basic skills for the beginning of school, they can supplement any math adoption.
This is a PowerPoint file that can be used with Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides. The slides can be projected onto a screen or board. You can also print these and place them under a document camera.
There are 15 math warm-ups for the Building Math Community Unit.

Total Math provides lessons and materials in a framework of whole class direct instruction followed by teacher-led learning to monitor, support, and deepen mathematical understanding. A total math classroom is active! We talk about math, share our thinking, move to different activities in the room, and explore many ways to solve problems. We split our time between direct instruction, teacher-led learning, and cooperative and individual learning tasks.
