A pair of PowerPoint files containing fourteen presentations for a World History unit titled “The Rise of Totalitarian Dictatorships.”

The first PowerPoint file, “The Russian Revolutions,” is 61 slides in length. The second, “The Rise of Totalitarian Dictatorships,” is 79 slides in length. In total there are 14 individual lessons, which in my classroom provides for 16 days of instruction:

6.10 The Great Depression - 1 day
6.11 Adolf Hitler and the Rise of German National Socialism (1929-1933) - 1 day
6.12 Adolf Hitler and the Rise of German National Socialism (1933-1934) - 1 day
6.13 The Nazification of Germany - 1 day
6.14 Jews in the Third Reich - 1 day

Also included in this download is a 13-page set of visuals and activities to accompany the 14 lessons. In my classroom, students take Cornell style notes on the right side in their interactive notebooks; their corresponding visuals pages are glued on the left. These activities are completed before (vocabulary), during (visual labeling), and after (writing, thinking maps, etc.) completion of the presentation.
