Description

See the difference between the faster-moving molecules of hot water and the slower-moving molecules of cold water. No scanning-tunneling microscope required. Just baby food jars, hot and cold water, and food coloring dye.

And once the basis of Kinetic Theory are established, dive a little deeper by stacking the jars, open mouth to open mouth. The results depend on which temperature of water is on top.

And once the principles of that demonstration are understood, cap it off with a few robust gedanken (thought experiment) questions.
