This project allows teachers to integrate art and math. Students are able to select from six different Melonheadz buildings and add windows that will be used as arrays. Each building comes with a label that students will use to write a multiplication sentence for the array they created. Then, they use commutative property to find a second multiplication problem.
Teachers can print on white paper and have the students color each building or they can print on construction paper. I like to use this as a review after a lesson on arrays.
