Start the school year out right with an active, fast-paced, creativity-promoting game! This game is good for team-building and promoting divergent thinking.
In teams, students select from a pile of reaching things, scooping things and attaching things in an effort to transport "toxic waste" (water) from one container to the next. Teams not only compete to be the first to fill the containment unit, but also may win on being the most accurate and the safest.
This activity comes with alternate activities that can accommodate:
-science classes (make your OWN toxic waste!)
-classes that want a challenge
I've also designed a few other games for first day activities, leadership training or to be used as critical thinking exercises:
Can you select the right items and take the best actions to survive on a hostile tropical island?
- Building Communication:
A specialized team uses the popular brand of interlocking building bricks to create the tallest, most creative or fastest structure.
I also have longer games that work well in history or civics classrooms at my store: Gov Games and Lesson Plans
