After teaching students the different accessories that can be purchased and stores, these paired practice activities are great for practicing their speaking skills.
With both of the paired practice activities, the students work in groups of two. One student asks the question, and the second student answers according to the picture provided. There is an example at the top of the page that the students can refer to if they need extra help with what to ask.
The first paired practice activity has the students asking each other how much different items cost to purchase. This page helps to practice pagaste and pagué. The prices are in dollars and Euros. The second activity has students asking each other where they went to purchase different items, where the students use compraste and compré.
The preview is the whole paired practice activity, only with the word SAMPLE over the photos.
These paired practice activities will work with the textbook Realidades - Chapter 7B
With the first Paired Practice Activity, if there is extra time, I direct my students to the website xe.com and look up the current exchange rates for currency. Once there, I have the students figure out how much each item would cost in dollars or Euros.
