These pages are perfect for having students practice tracing and writing their first names. I explain to the students that although some of them are writing their names many are still using capital letters in the middle of their names.
(I use the print clearly font from www.dafont.com)
You will want to download the Print Clearly font, if you don’t already have it.
Next, in the top box type each of your students names on a separate slide. I have included 24 slides with two different types of font (one dotted and one that is not), but if you need more you will want to insert a duplicate slide. (To insert a duplicate slide on the ‘home’ tab click the arrow next to ‘new slide’ button and click on ‘duplicate selected slides’. You can add in as many as you need.
After they are all printed, I laminate them and have students practice tracing their names and then writing them on the lines at the bottom of the page. I make sure they are only using a capital letter at the beginning of their name. (You can also paste a sentence strip on top of the lines before you laminate if you like the look of that better.) When we are finished with them in the classroom I send them home for extra practice.
