This alphabet bingo game has everything you will need to teach letter and sound identification and letter writing for your small/large group instruction. It includes six different games designed for the students who are beginning alphabet learners and builds up to mixed upper and lowercase letter games. After your kids learn to identify letters, the game starts over with letter sounds.
The games begin with letters Aa-Hh. There are fifteen game cards. The first four cards in the set up for RTI, meaning the letters are in an order to make it easier for the kids to say the letters in order to find the one that has been called. I have found that playing this type of game works great for letter identification for my RTI or very low children.
The second set of 15 cards are set up in the same way and include the letters Ii-Qq. I made sure that a font was used so that the capital I had a line on the top and bottom so it would not look like a lowercase l. This game includes 6 RTI cards.
The next set of 15 cards, again, are set up the same but include Rr-Zz and 6 RTI cards.
The last set of mixed alphabet cards (Aa-Zz) include 6 sets of lowercase cards, 6 sets of uppercase cards, and 13 sets of mixed upper and lower case letters. Two of the mixed cards have the uppercase and corresponding lowercase letter side by side for the kids who may still need a little help. The mixed cards also include most of the letters that are more callenging to learn like the letters kids usually miss or mix up.
This can be used in small group instruction for different ability levels. Once a group learns to identify letters, the game starts back at the beginning with sounds.
I hope your kids enjoy this game as much as my kids do. I will be posting more bingo games soon that will help kids gain foundation for reading.
