This is an awesome game that can be used all through K-6.
It is a great way to differentiate the program.
You will need counters and a dice to use this Y Chart.
An example: You can give a child 10 counters (obviously more advanced student will use higher numbers). You put ten counters in the top of the Y Chart. Roll the dice (say it lands on 4). If you are teaching addition it would be 10 + 4 (children move 4 counters to the left column and count the remaining ones on the top which gives them the answer 6). They write the equation on the right hand side of the column 10 + 4 = 14.
This can also be used for Subtraction.
You can also print and laminate these so students can use again and again.
A great way for children to learn to subtract and add.
I have been using this game for years in my classroom.
It can also be printed and used as a worksheet for bookwork.
